The Big Show, book three of the series, chronicles Jocelyn McLaren’s involvement with a presidential election. As her history of working for a US defense conglomerate collides with global finance and murder her future becomes increasingly unstable. Will she survive? The series, although written for GenX, has done very well with Young Adult audiences because of their curiosity about 9/11. And now, because of the the current frenzy around the presidential election adults of all ages seem to be responding to the books.
Rachael McIntosh’s books are inspired by her real life experiences working for a major US defense contractor, her dealings with national news outlets, and her involvement with a US presidential campaign. Her books are technically contemporary historical fiction and are ranked #1 on GoodReads Best News Series (2014).
