What type of Editor ?

Would you say this is a correct summary of the different types of editing?

Developmental Editor: Think of them as a Super beta reader; a developmental editor will study your manuscript for plot development, characters, story structure, themes, etc.

Line Editor: this type of editor will read your manuscript and consider the tense, flow, consistency, and clarity of each line. They will also correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling, but that isn’t their main focus.

Copy Editor: Focuses entirely on spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

Proofreader: often the final person to look at a manuscript, the proofreader catches any last spelling, grammar, and punctuation mistakes. Source: Liz Delton Facebook Post

Author Laila Tarraf will discuss " Strong Like Water"

Laila Tarraf was the Chief People Officer for Peet’s Coffee and Tea, the iconic Berkeley coffee roaster that launched the craft coffee movement in America, but she had a secret: she was failing in the most important relationships in her life. Yes, she was a strong and effective business leader, the successful daughter of immigrants, and the mother of a toddler; but she was also disconnected from her own feelings and had little patience for the feelings of others.

All that changed when life handed her a trifecta of losses: her husband died of an accidental drug overdose, and her parents' deaths followed in quick succession. Laila had spent her life leading from the head, convinced that any display of vulnerability would make her soft. What she didn’t expect was that soft would turn out to be strong. As she reconnected to her heart, one painful step at a time, something remarkable happened: she became a better leader, a better mother, and a better person. Her heart turned out to be the true source of her power, at home and at work.

This is a book about healing, about waking up, about learning who you are―who you really, truly are at the core―and reclaiming and embracing all the pieces of yourself you long ago abandoned in the name of survival. Women longing for balance will discover a path to infusing our leadership and relationships with love, compassion, and authenticity.

, Author Renaii West will discuss her book "Death by Chaos" a Novel

Tasha, Elizabeth, Dawn, and Miranda were the undisputed goddesses of their Southern California liberal arts college. With distinct talents, beauty, and accomplishments, each goddess appeared predestined to be forever traveling on that path called the Charmed Life. But, in a tragic twist of fate, just before graduation, a student is found murdered on campus. Suspicion falls in their midst, and one of them goes missing. Destinies are changed forever. The case goes cold, and for the next two decades, secrets are kept and suspicions linger. And one of the four continues to be haunted by the chaos of that night and what followed. With an upcoming reunion, and an arrival of a stranger on a motorcycle bringing even more turmoil to her life, she believes the time is right to finally revisit the past, uncover the secrets, expose the truth and while she is at it, rekindle the lost passions of her roommates. To do this without and drawing the attention of those who wish the case to remain unsolved will require good acting, deception, and maybe a little divine intervention.
