AUDIENCE: Leaders, speakers, coaches, entrepreneurs who have struggled with stress, burnout and achieving success. Learn how to work smarter, attain focus and regain health.

DESCRIPTION: Discover how the intuitive leaders' inward journey results in manifesting a thriving values based business and workplace culture that serves themselves, managers, employees and clients alike. Look at the common traits of successful leaders and you find confidence, an understanding of themselves, deep intuition, and an ability to connect and motivate others - positively or negatively. How do they do it?

In the workplace, practical systems are necessary to serve the client and for profit and gain. However, a lack of understanding of oneself, and how to motivate those who implement those systems, can contribute to workplace chaos. How does one improve themselves and mentor, coach and lead from a place of coherent understanding of oneself and others?

Terry introduces three leadership keys that provide answers to those questions. Here is where the inward journey begins that leads towards successfully achieving personal and career goals.:

Key One: The "Self" and it's role in leadership, business and life.
Key Two: How to create your resultsKey Three: Quick Shift from chaos and overwhelm into calm and ease.

January 14, 2017: "Story in the Public Square"

The United States finds itself in the midst of an information war with an old adversary.  This week, national security analyst Tom Nichols will help us understand the contours of that conflict, the role of storytelling in it, and also the implications of what he calls “the death of expertise.”
Nichols is a professor of National Security Affairs at the Naval War College, a former Jeopardy champion, and author of the soon to be published book The Death of Expertise.
“Russian information operations in the U.S. election are the most visible examples of storytelling’s impact on public affairs today. Tom Nichols brings a lifetime of study and thought to a lively conversation about the challenges facing the United States and what we can do to meet them,” said Jim Ludes, executive director.
“Story in the Public Square” airs on Rhode Island PBS in Rhode Island and southern Massachusetts on Sundays at 11 a.m. and is rebroadcast Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. An audio version of the program airs Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. & 6:30 p.m. ET and Sundays at 1:30 a.m. & 12:30 p.m. ET on SiriusXM’s popular P.O.T.U.S. (Politics of the United States), channel 124.
Story in the Public Square is a partnership between the Pell Center and The Providence Journal. The initiative aims to study, celebrate, and tell stories that matter.

Tentatively Scheduled for 9:05 Author Stephanie Deschenes will discuss Unorthodox

Where the white walls meet the equally white ceiling there are rows of blinding light bulbs stretching all the way down the hall for as far as I can see. Behind me, the bulbs crackle and pop, darkening the distance I’ve traveled. Desperate to stay ahead of the expanding blackness that is rapidly approaching me, I continue to run. I turn my head to catch a brief glance at the following obscurity. The quick peek costs me my coordination. Tripping over my own feet, I land in the arms of a blinding bright figure.

And at 9:35 am Author Le'nore M. Rhe'aume will discuss her Poetry, Books and other current events.
