THE STORY:

The Association of Rhode Island Authors (ARIA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2011 for the purpose of celebrating, investing in, and strengthening the literary arts in Rhode Island. Over the past five years, we have helped promote the works of Rhode Island's many incredible authors. But our work does not stop there. We also provide referrals to those wishing to connect with them and mentor the literary talent budding in our schools. We visit local schools and libraries to read to our children and to help aspiring authors achieve their goals. This year, many of our members will be participating in the Pell Bridge Run in Newport, RI to help raise awareness about literacy and writing, and to raise funds for our signature event, The Rhode Island Authors Expo. The 4+ mile course will be challenging but we can do it! Your support will help us achieve our goal, put on a wonderful event, and place books from local Rhode Island authors in the hands of children and adults in our community.
