'AGT': Poet Brandon Leake wins star-studded finale !

He failed in his AGT 2017 audition and came back this year to get a Golden Buzzer from Canadian Judge Howie Mandell. He was the first spoken-word poet to grace the talent competition. And now, Leake is the first poet to win it all after being crowned the Season 15 winner during Wednesday's live, two-hour season finale.

The Stockton, California, native, 27, has been one of the front-runners of the NBC talent show . Leake left the judges speechless throughout his “AGT" journey, with poignant performances about the Black Lives Matter movement, his newborn daughter and estranged father, and the loss of his sister. He was the first spoken-word poet to grace the talent competition. And now, Leake is the first poet to win it all after being crowned the Season 15 winner during Wednesday's live, two-hour season finale.

Just like Harry, Hermione and the Weasley brothers in Harry Potter, the Fitzgerald kids continue their adventures in Time Benders and the Two Promises. In this second book in the series, the full impact of what Joe has done sinks in, angering Deb and Ken, and causing Ken to say no more to the time machine. Later, when Deb learns about Mr. Brewster’s history, she and Joe defy Ken and take the machine to Las Vegas, 1958 to keep Mrs. Brewster from a certain accident. Bolstered by the success of this trip, Deb decides recklessly to try to undo what Joe had done in his solo trip in the machine, returning to Cambridge to stop Joe. The unknown forces of the universe and energy are working against their efforts to be in the same space and time and she barely makes it back alive! All of this creates a rift between Deb and her best friend Mary, because of the spiritual questions of whether one should try to change someone’s fate, until she finally understands, when she learns she may face a terrible future and major illness. She convinces the Fitzgerald siblings to use the machine to go forward in time to find out her fate. Through all of this, the siblings commit to two major promises about the machine, and their parents, and wrestle with their faith, the questions presented by the time travel; the loss of their parents and the fact that there trips continue to wreak havoc on their memories; and their relationships amongst the siblings, with their friends, girlfriends and boyfriend.

At 9:05am will be Author Kirk Shaw and his new release, " Make America Safe" A Bail Bondsman Story. 

Life of a New Jersey bail bondsman, showing how the bail industry has changed throughout the years. Headlines exposing a lawless society, spiraling out of control, that needs to be reined back in. Criminals should be held accountable for their actions in a fair and rational way. In order to create a safer society, especially for those in indigent communities, the game of catch and release needs to end.

The negative impact of Bail Reform, replacing the human element of judges by computer algorithms, isn't working. The Corona Virus now in play, opening the jail doors, creating the perfect criminal storm. Unfortunately, Bail Reform has become a democratic and republican issue, instead of a safety issue. Allowing complete anarchy is not going to fix the divide within our country.

Little Sister 

Imagine an eighteen-year-old American girl who has never read a newspaper, watched television, or made a phone call. An eighteen-year-old-girl who has never danced—and this in the 1960s.

It is in Cambridge, Massachusetts where Leonard Feeney, a controversial (soon to be excommunicated) Catholic priest, has founded a religious community called the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The Center's members—many of them educated at Harvard and Radcliffe—surrender all earthly possessions and aspects of their life, including their children, to him. Patricia Chadwick was one of those children, and Little Sister is her account of growing up in the Feeney sect.

Separated from her parents and forbidden to speak to them, Patricia bristles against the community’s draconian rules, yearning for another life. When, at seventeen, she is banished from the Center, her home, she faces the world alone, without skills, family, or money but empowered with faith and a fierce determination to succeed on her own, which she does, rising eventually to the upper echelons of the world of finance and investing. 

A tale of resilience and grace, Little Sister chronicles, in riveting prose, a surreal childhood and does so without rancor or self-pity.
